Conroy will offer Tanev at 50% retained to get as many teams as possible into the bidding. When he gets the first offer or a 1st, that’s where the bidding will truly begin. Then he’ll circle back to the other teams that have shown an interest and tell them, “X has offered us their 1st, can you do better?”
