Every twist and turn, of which there were many, was painful. At times it seemed like a spy movie parody made for soccer moms, I don't know how to sum up this garbage.

By the time they got to the ending scene with the skating on oil and fighting in the smoke, I honestly wondered if Vaughn purposely wanted to make a bad movie? The twists and turns were cringe inducing, and often made little sense. The soundtrack was also terrible, and it's obvious some people were there just to cash a cheque (Sam Jackson).
There was also some miscasting with Howard and Cena front and center. I thought Rockwell was decent, but they didn't give him much to work with. I saw 60-70 movies in theatres last year, and Argylle ranks with Expendables 4 and Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey among the worst of what I saw. It honestly makes me question Vaughn's work as a director, as this was a huge misfire.
I feel bad for Henry Cavill as well, he deserves better. It's about time Hollywood gives him another proper starring role (again).
