I don't understand this continued narrative that chicago got out of something with Perry? It was a one year $4mil contract. Chicago was looking to compete for a lottery pick, not spend to the cap, and perry was contributing exactly as he has in recent years. He was exactly what they signed and wanted.
I have no idea why this keeps being brought up like they needed or wanted out for cap reasons.
