What's hilarious is that the majority of Flames fans were totally fine with the move when it happened, justifying it as Monahan + 1st for Kadri when in reality it was gross asset mismanagement.

Most people thought Monahan’s career was over. He couldn’t tie his own skates. Dumping him backfired BIG TIME but at the time it looked fine.
