I don't think we should abandon that aspect just cause he broke into the league on Kadri's wing.

I believe Conroy, Huska or someone in management had publicly stated that they saw him as a winger before this season. He wasn't inserted into the lineup on the wing because there wasn't a spot for him down the middle. That is/was their plan. Which could change due to necessity, I guess.
