Kind of wild they didn't have to use one of those retention slots, makes me wish a little bit that they had used it on Zadorov and gotten that rumored bigger return, but I guess it could have painted them into a corner, and perhaps the 3rd slot could still be used in a deal with Markstrom or someone else

He's a UFA next season. Have a year and a half to see what kind of player he is.
