Way to read it out of context. They are saying Lindholm is a great player. He would be on their 2nd line in terms of skill. They said they would give up TWO 1st round picks or a 1st round pick plus an equivalent (1st round prospect, etc) plus a roster player for him. They aren't saying Lindholm is a 3rd or 4th line player. They said that he is the best forward available (along with Guentzel). Oilers already have 3 centers (McDavid, Draisaitl, Nugent-Hopkins) playing in the top 6 and one has to play the wing so Lindholm would be at times playing as the 3rd line center in his natural role in their scenario due to his great 2 way play. Lindholm would either be Edmonton's 4th or 5th best forward and would normally be on the 2nd line.
But he isn't getting traded there anyways so it's just a talking point.
