This 100 percent; I’ve had Frederic in my categories hockey pool for 4 weeks since picking him up on waivers and I just can’t drop him now, he does everything you want a middle six guy to do and he’s definitely on the top part of that middle 6 and if given a bigger role could really thrive on a 2nd line. He would be a really, really good ingredient to add to the mix of forwards and is a player we really don’t have coming up or currently on the roster.
I agree as well he’s underrated generally around the league amongst fans and he certainly wouldn’t be a throw in. With Conner Bedards supposedly even better cousin up for draft in 2025 the more 1st rounders in the pocket the better, totally fine with waiting and with the Bruins as good as they are I’d ask for it unprotected. Poitras being the cherry on top of that proposal is ridiculous and makes me feel like it’s not possible… but the flames have more than just Lindy to trade.
It’s really a fascinating and unprecedented situation Conroy is in and I don’t envy him, waiting on players like Tanev though any longer is making me nervous lol. Hopefully we make a trade sooner than later and start the ball rolling here!!
