Combine all of that with a resurgent Packers team and both the Bears and Vikings likely being better next season, and that division is not going to be the cakewalk it was this year.
They do have a fairly good cap situation, but this is a pretty weak FA class and they also have to make a decision on Jared Goff this offseason. He has no guaranteed money left on his deal, so there's zero chance he plays a down next season without a new contract and the franchise tag isn't an option.
It's not impossible that they'll be back next season, but this was probably the best chance they're going to have for a while unless they really nail this offseason.

Ben Johnson has been pushing all the right buttons on offense the past few seasons. One has to wonder if the offense takes a bit of a step back. That would be my biggest concern going into next season.
