How does it cost you that much? You must have some features on it- either ones you don't use or ones that you forget how much you use. ie- does it have a long distance plan that the wife takes advantage of?
The main reason I keep the landline is to have a number to give to people if they
have to have my number. Like the video store, etc.
Also dropping the landline takes you out of the phone book. Not sure how important that is to you.
Me, I went with Shaw's lite phone service. $30 and it gives me caller ID.
