I agree. This isn't like an NHL team captain who has been with the team for years and gradually assumed a leadership role, lives and works with the guys every day.
It's a guy chosen by brass in camp before an all-start tournamnet, who hasn't played with or against probably 75% of the guys on the team, and who, at the end of the touramnet says "see you around guys".
Whatever Dube's role was, captaincy probably had nothing to do with it.
