The economy was very strong in that timeframe as I remember buying a house in 2014 and the pricing was insane and the inventory moved quick. The job market was hot I switched careers in late 13/14 and had multiple offers to sift through.

Fast forward to the teams best season in 2022 and as a season ticket holder I am struggling to sell my seats for my season ticket holder cost if I tried to sell them 1-3 days out from the game. Even in the playoffs I bought a second set of tickets that were Ticketmaster pricing and I was desperate on a few days selling those tickets at cost (when I thought it was a slam dunk money making investment that guaranteed I got to go to every game as I split my tickets 3 ways that year).

The construction and parking around the Dome is absolutely brutal right now. The building is beyond expired but prices have continued to go up across the board. 2013-2014 was a forced rebuild that everyone wanted because the teals best players were 35/36 and needed to move on. This current team was as close to a contender as they had been since 04 and in 2 years the team has completely changed but the org is locked into several high priced deals that make a tear down rebuild less of a clear cut direction as trying to retool the team. Certainly this team could be delaying the inevitable but I do not see them doing what Ottawa did 6 years ago and declare the tear down is on. 6 years later Ottawa has some major building blocks in place but they are capped out and still terrible and about to lose another in prime piece they tried to acquire to get over the hump (Debrincat and Chychrun)
