But at least now, management can see the writing on the wall, and no this team is not salvageable, and they have to make moves that builds this team into being a contender down the road. There's no "make the playoffs and anything can happe"n with this roster. It can't even make the playoffs.

They had more points than one of the teams that went to the SCF last year. Things can happen when you make the playoffs.
I think their biggest mistake was to bring in zero fresh eyes on the organization and just let everyone fail upwards.
