This is beyond the roster being terrible, he's playing like ass. And what is a contract year, that would bring caution to me as a GM since he's not elevating his game for the most important contract of his career. How am I gonna have great confidence that he'll perform better on my roster to afford giving up an early round draft pick for a player that might only be around for a few months?
I don't think a first or second is on the table for him anymore. Unless a miracle happens and he gets on a heater for a couple of weeks after the
All-Star Game (using that term lightly) to build back value with clock ticking.
