Of course, now that charges are pending, this changes things entirely, and I expect that these five players will never again play an NHL game. But, I think your expectations about what NHL team executives knew, and what they could do about it are just totally unrealistic.

This is the NHL we are talking about here, if these players are found guilty but don't get jail time I expect they will be in the NHL again.
