I said this in the other thread, but the standard for a workplace investigation is typically lower than 'guilty'. You typically only have to believe that an issue occurred on a balance of probabilities rather than beyond a reasonable doubt.
And even without that, organizations suspend individuals w/ pay all the time pending a full investigation so I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss that.
