A family friend's son was wounded in Gaza and thankfully should make a full recovery.

When you consider the size of the population of Israel and how many families have been directly and indirectly affected by the events of October 7 and the war that Hamas started, its not surprising that no one wants to discuss a two-state solution right now, particularly with Israelis still in the underground tunnels of Hamas.

The sad truth is that Israel is a totally different country than it was on October 6.

Of course in the long run a Palestinian state is the only way forward to peace and security in the region. The hope is that new leadership will emerge on both sides that can somehow achieve this.
