Getting charges laid in a case like this is pretty significant. Once the charges are laid, it will be something to watch if the legal teams band together to try and buy silence, or if one cracks and opens this up.
I grew up in a Junior hockey town. I didn't go to the same school that the players did. But stories like this circulated every week. Not to this extreme, and I'm sure there was a lot of hyperbole in them. But I am quite sure that there was a lot of misconduct going on with a lot of the players on the team. They were treated like stars in that city and getting any dirt on the ones who were good at hockey was going to be next to impossible.
Skeptical me thinks this has to occur in other sports. Excited young men who think they're the top of the food chain likely have a lot of common behaviors.
