This is bang on and I would add that Conroy is the right GM for where this team is at.
There is no window at the moment. The team has bad contracts and a mediocre prospect pool. Realistically this team is looking at three years of pain.
It's been encouraging to see the team bring players up from the AHL to see what they can do with the big club. If the team can develop a Zary every year, the window will start to open. Until then they need to develop from within, buy low and sell high.
And for God's sake, stay out of the UFA market.
