After researching and watching and reading a few reviews plus taking the experience of my friend into account, I decided on the Philips 5400 fully-automatic espresso machine with LatteGo. Game. Changer. I friggin' love this thing. Since learning more about the machine and playing around, I've switched to having a morning caffe crema and sometimes I'll have an espresso or a caffe macchiato as an after-dinner treat. Such a great little toy. A bit spendy, but it does so much and I tend to use a lot of the options it offers. I invested in some good quality beans from The Roasterie in Kensington, and now my coffee game is strong. Love it. |
I have the 3200 and it's amazing. I choose not to remember my sad sad coffee life before this one. I don't enjoy the fancy drinks often but they're great for entertaining and I bet I've saved the price of the machine (600$ on prime days) by making my wife vanilla lattes & London fogs at home instead of her going to Starbucks.
I'm jealous because I was looking at the 5400 but couldn't justify it once the 3200 was on sale. The Lavazza extra creamy is my favorite followed by kicking horse smart ass. I've tried quite a few good ones from Winners/home sense too.
