Terminate a multi million dollar contract for an incident, not a single game suspension or even a fine.

If you don't find that at least odd IDK

It is odd, maybe it's just the nature of the incident. If it is the incident that people are suggesting then Chicago had to act on it in the best interest of their organization. I think if the player had done something a little different wiy more of a criminal element then it might have been a different situation. It's still odd and surprising considering the punishment handed out to Peters and Coach Q and then Perry still gets to play. I would imagine that Edmonton approached the league, with the idea that they were successful with Kane. They've got a one year deal with incentives and I bet you if that goes well thy will resign them again next year.

Edmonton was probably the only team in the league willing to take him. He has experience that would probably be very helpful even if he doesn't contribute a whole lot.

Still, NHL was pretty strictt with Peters and coach Q yet they a're quickly giving this player another opportunity.
