2016 doing English language.
1 game a week, and there's what, 25 Saturday nights a year?
Plus some playoffs?
So let's say he's done 200 NHL English language games?

Ball does 75+ a season, plus a round or two of playoffs and this is his 9th season with the Flames. Before that he was the Western late game for HNIC year or two. Combined with a year doing the Jets and some games with Vancouver, he's got to be close to 850 NHL games.

He's also started doing full time PBP 29 years ago with Kelowna Rockets. And called CFL too for BC. Singh I don't think had any level of PBP experience before the Punjabi broadcasts.

Most announcers at the NHL level have a ton more experience before they get the job, and get a lot more experience, while on the job, so it's not Singh's fault, but relatively speaking, he's inexperienced for a top NHL broadcaster. Monster Truck Michaels is terrible TV, but he has a long history of radio experience, but the McDavid Oilers factor allowed the Oilers to pick their commentators to make sure the coverage was under their control....remember when they had John Shannon on regional broadcasts, when he was only HNic before that.
