I'd take that bet. Don't get me wrong, I think Coronato is a going to be a very good offensive player, and I see Coronato gunning for a top 6 spot next year.
That said, I think that his defensive play, his puck retrievals, and the pace he plays with aren't NHL level just yet.
I also didn't like how he fit on the Zary-Kadri line last time he was called up, they were chasing the play for most of that game. It seems that the
analytics agree with me. In that game aginst the NJD, that line had xG% of 28.1%, Corsi of 33.3%, and Fenwick of 38.5%.
Hopefully, Coronato makes me eat a lot of crow, but even if he isn't ready just yet, I'm sure that he's going to have a great future with the Flames.
