All the coaches that have been here always complimented his fitness. I remember Sutter always refering to him as a very well coached kid.
He's a great team guy, that often gets mentioned in helping new guys out: He was driving Sharky around town for the first couple of months, guys like Coronato rave about Dube. He's also pretty active in the community.
That said, I can't be hopeful about Dube's game in the NHL. His defensive game remains a glaring weakness, that only gets magnified when he doesn't put up points. I don't think it's because of a lack of effort, but a lack of detail in his game. IMO, Dube needs to put up 40 points, just so he doesn't hurt the team in the grand scale of things.
Maybe we'll see Dube for Duclair, so they can use $1M in cap space for something else, but I don't see a team actively looking to add a Dube this season.
