The league needs to clean up their rule book so no more grey areas or get rid of these types of challenges. I don't know how anyone who has read the rule book or refed a game in real time ever would want that type of play to be classified as a "glove pass". The way the rule is written its pretty clear that a puck has to be clearly directed to his team mate and glancing off is not a direct pass.
If that play is a hand pass effing clean up your rules and say that the effing puck can't touch the glove.
