I’m with Lanny a bit on this one. Some of the offers on Markstrom proposed on here are through the roof. It’s fun to talk about but who pays the equivalent of two first rounders for a goalie who may or may not have rebounded? It’s funny but from Conroy saying he won’t trade him unless he gets an offer that blows off his socks, would probably be two first rounders from his point of view. Well, what GM would do that with his recent history? And if teams currently are calling up offering a first plus a bit is that not a good if not great offer? And why do we have to keep him? For what future if this a rebuilding team? I just find the whole thing odd. Don’t get me wrong, Conroy should shoot for the moon but IMO if you can get a first for someone with uncertainty, isn’t part of the long term when you’re ready to compete, and probably won’t have a higher value than now, you take it.
