It used to be a great reason to keep a little hiking butane or alcohol camping stove in your car. I still have one with a can of butane under the back seat of my truck. The problem now is a lot of cars have plastic oil pans and you run the risk of melting it if an open flame gets to close.

They also can double as an awesome heater in an emergency.

In other news.... I've appraised more electric cars in the last 3 days, than I think I have the last year. A lot of people are not impressed with the sub-30 degree EV car ownership experience.
