They are long overdue to go down. Bonus would be that we all get spared from watching more Dycheball and having to watch Tarkowski rugby tackle 2 or 3 guys a game using his arms. Though the one thing I don't understand is that Everton had positive transfer income every year recently - must be that they are paying way too much in wages?
Leicester in particular got completely screwed... Everton cheats, somehow the points deduction gets delayed to this season instead and they go down by 2 pts.
Sounds like Forest are on a knife's edge, if they can get the Johnson transfer to count during the accounting period they won't have broken the rules even though it went through afterwards, their claim is by waiting a couple weeks and selling him outside that time their leverage went way up somehow and they got much more money so it should count? They look pretty bad to me this year, I feel like a 10 point penalty for them would be curtains and not only send them down but destroy their club for a long time, they have a huge wage bill and many years of transfer payments ahead and probably only 2-4 players that will sell. I could see them in League one in a couple years if they go down.

Evertons statement says that this latest charge incorporates the same period, or at least an overlap, of what they were already charged for and appealed. I don't know if that's accurate, but that's what they say.
And initially I felt bad for Forest, but they did have their chance to sell Johnson albeit for 30m instead of the 50m or whatever we paid. And I also thought that maybe the date should lineup with the end of the window, but the thing is the date lines up for when the window opens. In reality...they cheated and mismanaged the situation, which is why the rules exist.
My only disappointment here is that it's again the clubs fighting for survival that got hit, while the major breaches that we all know exist go along. It is interesting to see that spending this window is so far down though, so maybe there is something to these regulations after all.
