I like it a lot. The never version of this is supposedly far faster, but this version isn't bad either. I got it for a bit over $80 open box years ago before things got stupid price wise. I'd say this one fills about 15-20 seconds per PSI in a car tire and I love no cables plus setting the PSI and balancing it in all the tires. I don't think it's worth it for the newer version to slice those times in half.
I agree with you it's great for kids toys. Sometimes in the summer, I see people manually pumping up their dirigibles and I wonder how much faster those things would pump up if they had a battery powered air pump vs slowly stomping on one of those foot pumps. Makita also has battery shop fans, so I grabbed one to have battery powered fan in the summer. Works great with the sun shelter.
