If they get hot in the next 6 homes games before the allstar break I have no idea what Conroy is going to do.
The second half of this season could have a lot of storylines. Either way the team is fun to watch and there’s a lot more potential for young guys to step in and make an impact. Coronato, Pelletier maybe even Kylington?

Most teams wouldn't keep their prospect putting up over a PPG in the AHL as a rookie down on the farm, but the Flames have so many youngers playing well that they can afford to keep him down there to get seasoning and ice time.
The group playing this well since adjusting to Huska and still having some of its best young players not yet in the picture is very encouraging.
I don't know who replaces Lindholm short term, but it may very well be possible that this team can do a retool on the fly as opposed to a full blown rebuild with the pieces that are fitting into place for them. They just need to net the right return between now and the deadline to help inject a bit more high end talent for the future.
I'm hoping for a player like Mercer if it's possible. I think that's the kind of target you need - a young center that can become a top 6 regular here. Because at least for now you're not snatching up a franchise 1C anywhere, and may need to be patient and perhaps suck badly for a season for that opportunity to arise.
