Hockey stats are blunt and largely uninformative. All of them. I never understood why people want to single out +- for this fact, when it's true across the board.

Some are better than others, but yes, individual stats like that are problematic.
You won't see me argue stats for players too often. Team ones are better.
Maybe line combination stats are better.
