Sure, my metric is: three generations ago was not 100 years ago. Who taught you math? You're cherry-picking the Great Depression as the point of comparison, when it's clear to everyone else that the basis of comparison being made is against the Baby Boomers, who were born from the late 1940s to late 1960s.
