They've had so many things go their way during this stretch, including an incredibly soft schedule, several games against backup or 3rd string goalies, and refs who are gifting them timely PPs or looking the other way when they commit obvious infractions. That team gets away with a lot of crap, especially McCheater with his patented holding the opponent's stick move, which he does at least twice a game.
And you can't tell me that the refs aren't aware of what he's doing, as it's so comically obvious when he does it. At this point it's pretty clear that they have a mandate from the league to ignore it.
Anyway...this current run of theirs won't last much longer once their schedule gets tougher and they finally have to play some legit contenders. I think they'll make the playoffs, but thankfully the chances of them getting anywhere near the Cup are zero.
