Zegras reminds me a lot of TJ Oshie when he was a young player in the league with St. Louis. Always good for a highlight reel goal a few times a year and often struggled to stay healthy. Was originally thought to develop into a franchise player because of his skill set but ended up being a valuable complimentary piece to Washington once he was traded. He also developed a bit of a physical side to his game as he got older but I would not anticipate that to happen with Zegras.
Point being he seems like he could be a very valuable player for a team but I don’t see him as a franchise player down the line. Just a valuable complimentary piece that can quarterback a powerplay.
