Lots of ugly contracts have been moved, just none of them for a handful of draft picks like you're hoping for. Campbell may be product of the Oilers and their gawd awful system with zero defense. If they're willing to give you a couple of picks he might be a really good risk to take and hope for a bounce back on another team. Prior to Edmonton he was a pretty consistent performer. He bounces back he might turn out to be found money. If not, you buy him out after playing him for a year. I thought we were building all this cap space for purposes like this? You would get two 1st round picks and a top four defenseman for Markstrom and eating a cap hit of under $2.5M for two years and then under $1.4 for another two. That's how you use that cap space to your advantage.
