There was nobody you could love in TLOU part 2. Everybody was a ball of hatred and revenge. In the overall TLOU story, you play as one character and then the devs made you play a 2nd person that killed that character. And then you play as a 3rd person trying to kill that 2nd character. [trying to avoid spoilers, it's complicated]. It's just hatred and vengeance all around. Ellie killed hundreds of people by bodycount alone. Artsy but beyond dark and depressing. Even pregnant characters you sympathized with got no sympathy from the violence. I despise the 2nd game. It's not how I want to spend my evenings and weekends.
