Just finished What if S2. Enjoyed the mix of some interesting concepts and some silly concepts they had fun with. Surprised at the quality of the voice talent and nice to get more Rockwell and Blanchett in the MCU.
Probably a step below S1 as the conclusion didn’t come together as nicely. Was expecting a big team up again and didn’t like how Strange became a villain after his previous character development.
Kahhori was my favourite episode. Managed to pull off a compelling origin story and build a universe in only 25 minutes, while making good use of the animation medium with some nice visuals.
Captain Carter vs the Hydra Stomper was my least favourite. Is basically the Captain Carter version of Captain America: TWS. Couldn’t help constantly comparing to the original which is the best written MCU film filled with exciting twists. This version feels like a rushed shallow adaptation that was ultimately unnecessary.
