A young woman on a board I frequent is currently dying of malignant melanoma. She probably won't be around much longer than a week or so. Her husband kindly updates her blog so that we know how she's doing. She's the first board member that we know about that may not be with us in a bit and we're all having a tough time.
(We're a board full of women, somewhat emotional most days at best - I posted the Ottawa Senators story on the board today too and there's been a ton of tears)
It's interesting how these places truly become communities.
