Also of note is that Boeing sub contracts out manufacturing of the 737 fuselage to Spirit Aerosystems. But whether the door plugs are done there or by Boeing in Renton I am not sure. Not that it matters.
Side note, I was fortunate enough to tour the 737 facility in Renton a number of years ago (pre Max). The Boeing dude told us the only component of the aircraft that Boeing actually manufactures themselves is the wing. Everything else from avionics to engines to interiors to fuselage etc. is all subcontracted and Renton is essentially just an assembly facility. Not unlike auto manufacturing in a lot of ways but I was surprised at how little of the aircraft components Boeing actually makes themselves.
