I have to say I'm pretty annoyed the Flames didn't claim Bjornfot.
This organization is lacking young defensive prospects and you had a 22 year old, former first round pick, being waived by a division rival. A guy who has already played 117 NHL games and was seen as a top prospect until his game fell off a bit in recent years.
How is that not better than Gilbert, Oesterle, or Desimone? Even if he's not better today he's a better long term bet for the Flames, especially with Hanifin and Tanev potentially moving soon.
And oh look Vegas took him on waivers...that never works out for them when they pick up other teams unheralded players. SMH
