- 5 last year (out of 10 picks)
- 4 in 2022 (out of 7 picks)
And then they draft small skilled players. You can't have a team of small players but you also only need 1 or 2 of these to hit.
- In 2023 their first 3 picks were all <6 feet including Jaydon perron at 5'9. And then they grabbed Timur Mukhanov, generously listed as 5'8 at 163.
I love what they do. Stockpile picks so you can take bigger swings with them. I wish the Flames would do the same.
