As a frequent customer who loves giving money to horrible people, my guess is it died because of two things:
2) It was located by the check-in counters, not in the post-security part of the terminal. Most travellers want to have a meal
after check-in, not while they still have all their luggage and the ticketing stress to deal with.
1) Shortly after it opened, the airport eliminated the 30-minute free parking, which killed the drop-in customers. I remember popping in a few times because of that, and then afterwards it just wasn't worth it with the parking fees. I'm sure I wasn't alone.
I look forward to a non-airport location!
