Cool man, I’ve explained it including links and examples of players who have been shut down for mental health issues. If it doesn’t make sense to you I don’t think I can explain it much better.
Step 1 - Force him to see (another) psychologist as he is not currently fit for duty.
Step 2 - Have him work through his issues in therapy and the longer it takes the better (LTIR time).
Step 2a- If he refuses, terminate his contract using whatever escape clause needed in his contract and negotiate a minimal cap hit settlement like the kings did with Richards.
Step 3(?) - Maybe he returns after therapy as a healthier person and better player and his cap hit is ditched for hopefully a very long time.
