He's not going to give up the money...but if things continue to go this poorly, I think Huberdeau would be wanting out and may look at some sort of concessions to get a fresh start somewhere. Not sure what that would look like as far as contracts go. I don't think he wants the last 7 years of his career to be skating around doing nothing and collecting a cheque either, if for whatever reason this place isn't a fit for him, which certainly seems to be the case. There's no way he's enjoying this. At some point the money is secondary to being in a situation that isn't right.
