I was very close to picking up a copy of Ark Nova for the family, but held off for fear of it being too "heavy" for my six year old. He does keep up with us on Catan nights, and has even legitimately won. I thought the kids would love the idea of curating their own zoo because they love animals and gaming in general.

Thoughts?
If you want a zoo game that is good for both younger kids and adults, then New York Zoo is really fun. You collect animals for your zoo to get more pieces to add which are regular shapes and go together like Tetris. You can either really strategize or not and it's still enjoyable which is rare for a lot of games.
