So there is something to keep in mind here: Markstrom picked the Flames because he was given the NMC. Before he went to UFA he apparently had two teams in mind. Vancouver or Calgary. His agent apparently used Edmonton as a stalking horse, but that was never a real option. His first choice was Vancouver, his second choice was Calgary but there wasn't some massive gap. The primary goal was term and stability because he didn't want to leave Western Canada.
Swedes are unique in that they will stay with bad teams and make it work if they're comfortable with their life in that city. Especially Swedes in Canada.
At this point if you don't think Marky is friends with other people on the team I don't know what to tell you. Lindholm and Tanev leaving will suck, but I doubt he's making life choices based on that fact.
