No, they traveled just before the new vaccine was available so weren’t able to get the shot yet. They’re pro-vax. I’m aware vaccinated people can get COVID and the purpose is to reduce the illness if you do get sick; I’ve had this argument with my idiot, vaccine-nervous brother.
