On one hand KK isn't good enough to be on a championship roster based on his bat, so just based on this move the Jays to me are admitting that. Dollar and term are great, so no complaint there. In a weird way, taking into account they need to sell tickets for the reno, while also not getting into bad long term contracts, I don't mind these types of moves. They're not screwing themselves over in the long term and that's the key - those moves terrify me, and they're not doing that. I don't think anyone fully knows their full play here, but that signing was something I didn't see coming at all.
