How much better was Nail Yakupov than everyone?
There are people who said, without question, that Wolf was the best goaltender we have. He might be one day, but he isn’t yet. Zary didn’t look better than most NHL players last year while he was in the AHL, and now in the NHL he’s probably our best player.
It feels like kind of a no-brainer to state that to know how good a player will be in the NHL, they need to play in the NHL. Common sense stuff.

Nope not until he proved better we knew it before he played a second of NHL time.
Yakupov had big questions before he came into the league. Those existed throughout his career.
