I can't speak for everyone, but someone having a blue doesn't affect my opinion of their post that much, if at all. I'll read pretty much every post in the thread that I am looking at. But if you have a blue square and make an exceptionally poor post then I am not really surprised. Unless your join is May 07 and you have a blue square chances are I won't respond to your post. If you've been here less than a month and somehow already attracted negative attention there is a good chance the discussion between us is not going to be worth the time. Just my two cents, I wouldn't get too bent out of shape over a blue square. But then again that's coming from someone with a red one, so you can take it for what it's worth.
